The Christmas play, “A Candle in the Window” by L. Don Swartz will be presented at the Hoosier. Both performances will begin at 7 p.m.; and there is a $10 admission fee.

Tickets will be available at the door; or may be purchased in advance on the theater’s website: www.historichoosiertheater.org.

The play centers on a group of travelers from all different areas of the country are all traveling by train in an effort to get home for the Christmas holiday.

A big storm rolls in and strands the travelers in a train station over Christmas Eve.

“We come to find out that each one of the travelers has certain issues going on in their lives,” cast member and Historic Hoosier Theater board member Trey Gray said. “They’re trying to deal with those things. Then they’re met by a group of children from a church across the street who help them deal with their problems.”

Gray said that the local production will feature many familiar faces in the cast; led by Michelle Self and Tommy Wingham.

Other cast members include: Billie Jackson, Shane Jackson, Xavier Jackson, Willow Osowski, Brooklyn Osborn, Mackenzie Black, Amber Detmer, Allen Detmer, Tye Sullivan, Joanne Springer, Aubrey Thayer, Wyatt Browning, Shelby Day, and Trey Gray.

The play is directed by Connie Adams and Adele Percer-Snook.
